APTA Board
The APTA Board is elected by the APTA membership. When board seats become vacant between election cycles, the APTA Board appoints interim board members to fill vacant board seats until the next election.

President
Presides at all meetings and is the official representative of the organization, for all leadership, central office, or otherwise undefined district or state level committees or meetings. (One Year Term) Past President Assists with the organization as the President directs, advises the President on past practices and participates in all Executive Board meetings. (One Year Term) Vice President Performs the duties of the President during the absence of the President. The Vice-President/President Elect coordinates and is the liaison to all Association committees, at the discretion of the President, maintains and develops the organization’s website, and provides at minimum quarterly newsletters (digitally or otherwise) to all members regarding non-confidential association activities and events. Elected for Three Years; First Year as Vice-President, Second Year as President, and Third as Past President. Secretary Develops formal meeting agendas, coordinates meetings, keeps the minutes of the meetings, maintains all correspondence, is responsible for updating the website with general membership meeting notes, preserving closed meeting session notes to a designated private server/location to be determined by the Executive Board, and organizing social events at least twice annually. (Two Year Term) Treasurer Prepares an annual budget, and collects, records, and disburses all monies of the Association. The Treasurer keeps an accurate record of all financial transactions. A financial report shall be given at each Executive Board and general membership meeting. The treasurer coordinates all financial obligations, tax filings, liability insurance, is responsible for researching CD updates, developing/submitting scholarship nominations and leading the scholarship committee, and along with the president coordinates when change of officers takes place, at the designated financial institution. (Two Year Term) Psychologist Representative Acts as the liaison for all Psychologist members of the Association, including being the first point of contact for grievances, and to present any such concerns to the Executive Board, outlining which parts of the contract may have been violated and/or to help psychologist members navigate the Problem-Solving process outlined in the current bargaining agreement. (Two Year Term) Ex Officio Board Member APTA membership voted to add Ronald P. Dreher as an Ex Officio board member in July 2022. As such, he retains voting rights and the ability to represent the board on matters as deemed relevant by the board, but is not a regular sitting member of the board. |
